|
|
I HAVE A NEW 06 YAMAHA GRIZZLY 450 4X4. WHEN I GET IT IN DEEP MUD, ESPECIALLY DEEP WATERY MUD. IT STARTS TO SPLUTTER BADLY LIKE A GOVERNER IS ON WHEN IT STARTS TO LUG DOWN. ITS EVEN WORSE WHEN YOUR IN MUDDY RUTTS THAT ARE DEEPER ON ONE SIDE THAN THE OTHER
MAINLY STARTS WHEN WATER GETS UP TO OR A LIL OVER THE FOOT PEGS.
MY DEALER MECHANIC CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT.
THIS PROBLEM CAUSED A BAD ROLLOVER ACCIDENT LAST MONTH AND YAMAHA WILL PAY FOR THE DAMAGE IF THE MECHANIC CAN FIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ATV.
CAN ANYONE HELP ? |

| check to see if water is geting in or around the spark plug ,cdi, or any connectors that may be causeing it to jump fire also make sure no water is geting in the carb or air box. |

| you might go to the auto parts store and get a bigger boot for the plug something that would cover it better you might also try some kind of silicone type spray to help seal water out I think they use to have something you could spray in your distributor cap that helped with moisture problems on cars |
