| my son has a 2004 50 cc, and it will only go half speed now. I have changed the gas, spark plug, and cleaned the filter. It has only started this recently. When you crank it up, you can give it full gas, but it takes about 5 seconds and it will start slow. After that, it goes faster, but about half of what it did. Does not feel like it has the power. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, ds |

| you may have a pluged carb jet try cleaning your carb out might also be a restriction in the exaust some where |

| does it have a belt that drives the chain? if so then the belt might be slipping. |
