I just purchased this at a reasonable price. With the reasonable price comes a problem. When I got it I had to drain all the oil out because it was full of gas. I have now changed it twice, still getting ALOT of gas in the cranckcase. So much gas in it, it is like a fontain when you remove the oil cap. It runs great right after I drain it, so I find it hard to believe I have Ring problems. Could this be a Float problem? Or what else could it be? Please help!!!!

Hello Scotty,

Sounds like a stuck float or worn out needle/seat.
If this ATV has a fuel petcock, turn to off position and let unit sit.
If no gas in oil then what you have is worn out needle/seat.

Thanks for the advise. I will be sure and check that. When you say petcock, are you talking about the selector where you can turn it ON OFF RESERVE? If it is the needle/seat, would it be easier to just replace the Carb.? Thanks for the help!

yes, that is the petcock. and whether you feel comfortable taking the carb apart or not will decide if you want a new one. just remember that carbs have lots of small parts in them. and they are very precise.
