Polaris Sportsman Problem

I have a Polaris sportsman '98 500cc. It had no spark, I suspected the coil right off. The dealer checked coil resistance ,and it was off. I ordered new coil and re-assembled machine.. It started immediately' I ran it for about 20 minutes , then I shut machine down to place body plastic on . I went to start machine about 40 minutes later .......no spark again any suggestions??
