Just read an article last week that says winning major races at national events have not translated to increased sales. The Suzuki has been at the top of the podeum lately but the Honda stil out sells it substantially. Maybe the powerful marketing dollar could be spent elsewhere. Interesting reading!

Dude,
It seems obvious to me that, although you win a race on a good bike, the best bike that may have crossed the line in second on the track will still perform at the top of the charts on the showroom floor. This holds true in the aftermarket segment as well. Certainly, you can fool some of the riders some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the riders all of the time. |
