| 97 Sportsman, My son was riding the other day, (single digit temps.) said the motor started knocking and the temp light came on, then it died. I pulled it in the barn, got it started, now it ticks loudly and is burning oil.... any ideas as to what the problem might be???? Brad |

| you may have blown the cylinder head, but 10 minutes should be plenty to warm up. Most of the time when an ATV burns smoke it is something to do with the piston rings or piston. |
