Dear ATV World,

Kazuma ATVs and Redcat ATV's are complete junk. I purchased a Redcat ATV in Oregon and all I have had is problems. It was a water cooled 250cc ATV. The Redcat dealer cannot get parts at all. I called the home office of Redcat I think and only got some ass on the phone named John who said call the dealer. I thought it was his unit?? Anyway, I noticed Kazuma on the engine plate and called them. Well, they speak marginal English at best and said we don't fix Redcat problem. How are these ATV companies in business? Kazuma and Redcat are complete junk ATVS.
I should have done better research. Take a look at the top 5 ATV forum websites and people nationwide are having the same problems. I don't know who these Jackel folks are and frankly could care less but they have a public forum and you bet your ass I've posted the same theme on every website I can find. The Redcat ATV and Kazuma ATVs units are junk and if you dont believe me go out in neutral ATV forum land a do a search. Dont buy Kazuma or Redcat ATV.

please post some links up..
I would love to see the complaints.... Laughing

Yeah the rear skid plate, the side engine guards and the floor pan on our 90 falcon all fell off. It's made of thin metal. All parts, that if you were to buy a brand name would prob. fall off or get takin off anyhow.. Wink
The muffler also cracked right at tthe pipe and silencer, I called the dealer up and he ordered me one. While I waited I rewelded the crack.
When I bought this Falcon 90 the dealer told me that Kazuma was having a problem with the head, sure enough the head screwed up, I took it back and he ordered the new head and had it fixed along with the new muffler for our 1st race a week and a half later...

for under $900 I feel I gots my money worth already. Now it's time to modify!! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

later,
Chad

I agree. It was obvious from my last post I was upset but it's true. Call us my fault for buying a Kazuma ATV from a rouge dealer that is no longer in business as of this weekend. The Kazuma ATV looked good but it was like a car with a good paint job with nothing but a lemon. The parts thing after posting on several forums does appear easier on the Kazuma ATV small stuff and I can get parts from www.kazumausa.com but the large stuff is near impossible!!! This is a view shared by many on ATV forum land. Anyway. Have a good week.

I had been hoping to be a new Jackel Dealer, and have sold Redcat and other products for 3 years. With any Chinese import set-up is forefront on ANY brand, I will continue to sell Redcat and have not had the problems expoused elsewhere in this forum, they have gone out of their way to get parts and product to me. They just haven't offered a continuous line-up which I feel I need to have for my customers. Parts issues do occur as they do with the Honda, Polaris etc. parts I order.
I have never been a brand basher, heck if it weren't for all bikes my repair bay would slow considerably.
Finally did not order any Jackels, couldn't justify spending $2600.00 for a 250 when Pep Boys were retailing an exact clone to it at $1999.00. Jackel may offer a better version, but most customers only look at the package.

I have been a Redcat dealer for about 2 yrs. Communication is terrible, parts have been better but still marginal, dealer agreements and then breaking their own rules sent me over the edge. (I got banned from their forum when I mentioned their only goal is to make as much money as possible while the Chinese wave of imports is strong and then the dealers will be left hanging).... oops...

Anyway... I started with Jackel a couple of months ago. Way better quality and they answer the phone. A bit pricy though, I'm having a problem selling them compared to prices of other Chinese machines. I still think it will be better in the long run though, hopefully not so many returns and repairs.

Ok, for those who found this posting via Google (searching redcat forums) and who might be thinking of buying a Redcat , Kazuma, Booreem, or any other Chinese knock-off, FORGET ABOUT IT! Here is what I have replaced so far on my son's Redcat MPX 110 ;

1) Nerf Bars (after the first ride the nets broke)
2) Rear Swing arm bolt (broke after first ride)
3) Throttle cable
4) Exhaust mounts
5) lower engine mount bolt (replaced five times with grade 8 bolts!)
6) Chain

Now I know what you are thinking, the answer is my 10 yr old is doing the same things I am (on my Honda TRX400ex) and we are not catching air, tumbling every ride, manuvering over rocks, crashing into cars... We are just taking them for a ride off-road and doing some donuts for a few hours each weekend.

So why is it that this piece of $@^E$&^%@(* is able to be sold here in the states?

I call upon all of those who have had issues with these ATV's to post here and post everywhere you can (especially in Mexico) because the only way the quality will get better, is when the wallet gets smaller (theirs that is).

Please post often about your Redcat woes here, and post the same issues in other forums all over the internet so that when people Google Redcat, Kazuma, Booreem they will first see the sites with real information about them instead of the tempting sites that show 1/2 off the Honda, Yamaha prices that atract most buyers first.

Redcat, Kazuma, Booreem, pay attention here, I am on a mission to let the world know about your dangerous pieces of junk, email me if you wish to know more.

For those in Mexico (Tijuana Mexico that is) avoid JP Motorsports. They will sell you these pieces of junk in hopes you will pay them extra money to fix them later.

BTW, don't even think that there is a warranty...
