I have a 1985 Yamaha 80 that has me really puzzled. It has spark but it but it will not start.
I have replaced the CDI coils, the ign coil and the CDI and it still will not fire. I even tried pooring gas into the cylinder and and it will not ignite. Starting fluid same thing.
Everything in the Ignition circuit seems to be functional. Is there something in the Charging system that could be preventing it from starting? Could the Rectifier / Regulator be the culprit? |

| i had the same problem with a 1984 honda. i had spark and gas and it wouldn't start. i cleaned the carb and cleaned the points and checked timing. after i fixed all of those problems it started. |
