| I'm having starting problems. I had an ECM recall this year and had the battery replaced along with the ECM. I went out to start it recently and the solinoid just clicked. I put a volt meter on the battery and it showed 12 volts. I put a voltmeter on the starter lead and when turning the key it showed 9.2 volts. I put the voltmeter back on the battery and it showed 12 volts. I turned the key on and the voltmeter, still attached to the battery, shows 9.2 volts. I can't figure out why the battery shows 12 volts when the key is turned off, but shows 9 volts when the key is turned to the on position. I'm thinking of changing the start solinoid. Any theories? |
