| Hi i just got an 86 honda trx250 and i was wondering if there is supposed to be oil in the stator side? |

| there should not be oil in the stator. Take the stator off and check if oil is getting through the seal behind it. If so, take it to a dealer, or have it fixed. |

the four trax- is a 4 stroke yea there will be oil in there -like many other 4strokes
the 250 r 2 stroke - no the seal is bad but it would idle erratic as well |
