I have a 1995 Honda TRX300FW. It was runing fine. Now I can't get it started. I went though all the basics and they are working. After trying to start it several times it backfired violently out the tail pipe. Could this be electrical and a timing issue?

it might be your valves are out of adjustment or they have carbon build up are you using 90+ octane gas. also I would replace the plug anyway and make sure it is gaped right. Usualy back fire out the carb is timeing ,out the tailpipe is carb or related. seems odd that it was okay one day and not the next.

Thanks for the info. I will replace the plug and gas. I know this atv has had little to no maintenance done on it since bought new.
