Any advice on getting an ATV up and running after a long winter? I added fuel stabilizer this year but the carb was gunky. Maybe I could run stabilized fual through it as well or drain all together but if empty I worry about rust. Any advice would help.

try draining all of the fuel from the carb and tank. then add fresh fuel with a fuel injector/carb cleaner and run for a while. while riding you can then manuall close and open the choke to help flush the carb.

I am having problems getting mine to start too! I have had to replace two of the fuels lines because of cracking. Also, I have noticed most of the hoses underneath are starting to show serious wear. Just about every hose underneath is either cracked or starting to crack. I am worried that it is going to cost a pretty penny to update my machine.

I talked to a local shop here and he said it could be the fuel additive. It
s eating away the ATV rubber parts. He didn't however have an answer to the problem.

go to a auto parts store and purchase new fuel lines you can buy it in the spool and it is not very expensive. You will also need to take your carb apart and clean it with solvent to get all the gunk out of it.

Go to your local auto parts store and buy some seafoam. This will clean your entire system out and make it run like new

Use the seafoam first. It cures 75% of fuel gunk related problems.
