Atco & Englishtown MX Tracks in NJ are starting a new class this year, 4-6 yrs old atvs & bikes. I bought a Jackel 55R for my 4yr. old. He loves it. We can't wait for the season to open next month! I will let yopu know how it goes.

Wonder what dealer in this world is taking a chance of selling an ATV for 6 or older to someone with a 4 year old.
Most Japanese dealers would be shut down for this.
Just my thoughts.

TM | I second that comment...better watch out when it comes to selling ATVs to underage children. |

Just to let you know, Jackel did not sell to a 4 year old. I bought it. I race Motocross. I wanted something that I can do with him. After researching the Jackel atv, we decided on the 55r. We can adjust the speed to walking speed & it was a teather kill switch so we can walk behind it and kill the engine if we think he might get hurt. He also has full protective gear from helmet to boots. I would not put my son in a dangerous situation.

I think your all stupid. The two for judging and the one for feeling the need to defend. I was riding motocross at 5, as was my son at five, and now my daughter at 4. Get over it, kids will be fine, just use your head.

my boy is 3 years old and i just bought a 50 R jackel and he does very well listing to me teach him how to ride and is very smart about it. you have to use your head and teach your kids all the stuff about atvs and cars well there young so they learn how to do it themselfs. i also make sure that he wears all the protective cloting and helmet.

my boy, Presten has been riding since he was 3 (actually before).. Started on a yamaha TriZinger 60... (3 wheeler for ya that don't know)
He's 5 now with a Kazuma 90 and I'd bet money that he's alot safer than 70% of the adult ATV population!
It's not the age it's the time and effort the parents take to make sure the lil one are safe...
check the lil shits video's out...

I have to agree with most... I have identical twin sons... they started "racing" at 3 years old... they started out at 2 on a PW 50 - by the time they were 8 they were both on YZ80's.... all kids are different and have different skill levels.... they are now 12 yrs old & have one on a SUNL-220 (with many mods) and the other is on a 300cc utiltiy... they both gave up on racing & we all just trail ride now

A couple of points:
-Anyone who ownes a legitimate ATV dealership knows the liability of selling an ATV for a youngsters under 6. That point was made earlier. In this case, that is not what happened, but it is a good point none the less.
-It's really stupid that any age child can ride a dirt bike and no one criticises, but put them on an ATV and OOOO, you are a bad parent. Parents are parents for a reason.... to decide what their kids can and can't do.
-End of points...
