| Okay, where do I start. I just purchased a used 50cc Kazuma for my son. It did not start when I bought it. I can not get it to start. There is spark to the plug and the carb is getting gas to it. I completely took apart the carb and cleaned it as well as the air filter. There was some sand in both. The original owner said it ran about 10 hours and went to start it one day and it would not start. I tried spraying starter fluid and it makes no difference. Does anyone know what else I could look at. Also, it has compression. Please help trying to get it running before Christmas. |

| I would check the valve clearence, because if it is to tight the valve won't seat completely and you will loose compression. The valves should be set at 0.002" for both intake and exhaust. The Kazuma 50cc ATV is also notorius for the intake manifold cracking because it has no front suspension. If you have a intake leak it will make it difficult to impossible to start. You can try blocking off the air intake (air box) to the carb to restrict the air flow into the carb, it may help you get it started if there is a intake manifold leak. |
